The Sitdown with EmEz.

The Project

The Sitdown with EmEz is a New York interview show hosted by EmEz — producer of Power 105.1's Angie Martinez Show — sitting down with rising and established artists across hip-hop and R&B. The show needed a look and a production pipeline that matched the caliber of the rooms EmEz already worked in.

The Challenge

A great interview show lives or dies on two things off-camera: whether people click, and whether it looks and sounds professional once they do. EmEz had the access and the conversations — the show needed consistent branding, thumbnails that earn the click, clean edits, and a channel configured to actually earn.

The Approach

01

Designed a bold, unmistakable show identity — the red, black and NYC-skyline 'The Sitdown with EmEz' logo that anchors every episode.

02

Built a repeatable thumbnail system so every guest, from a Roc Nation ghostwriter to viral artists, sits inside the same instantly-recognizable frame.

03

Edited episodes for pace and clarity — tightening interviews so the best moments land and the runtime respects the viewer.

04

Remote-produced and produced episodes end to end, coordinating the shoot and the flow so EmEz could focus on the conversation.

05

Configured the channel's YouTube monetization so the catalog could earn from the work already being put in.

Key Design Decisions

Decision 1

Chose a red-and-black identity with the New York skyline because the show is unapologetically NYC — it signals the city and the culture before a word is spoken.

Decision 2

Locked each guest's name into a heavy, high-contrast wordmark so thumbnails stay legible at small sizes in a crowded feed.

Decision 3

Kept every episode inside one consistent template so the channel reads as a real show — not a collection of one-offs — which builds trust and binge-watching.
